Hello everyone! My name is Ellen Hanner. I am the Reading Specialist at Liberty Elementary School. I started teaching in Frederick County in August of 1988, after earning my Bachelors Degree from Salisbury State University. I taught first grade at East Frederick and Middletown Elementary. I earned my Masters Degree in Reading from Hood College in 1993. After earning my degree in Reading, I became the Reading Specialist at Ballenger Creek Elementary. I have been the Reading Specialist at Liberty Elementary since August of 2001.
When I am not busy working on school things, I enjoy spending time with my family. I live in Walkersville with my husband, Ed, and my twin daughters, Emily and Elizabeth. My interests include traveling and golf.
